Autobahn supports Polish dealer network reaching 10,000 cars and 40 showrooms

In less than three years, BAIC Polska has sold 10,000 cars in Poland and expanded its original network of 10 dealers to 40 showrooms. That pace puts pressure on both the sales team and the systems the importer and its dealer network use to manage their daily work.

The Estonian-developed Autobahn platform has supported BAIC Polska in building its sales organisation for more than two years. The partnership began while the local operation was still taking shape and had no dedicated sales management system. Today, hundreds of salespeople in Poland use Autobahn.

BAIC Group, whose European design centre is in Turin, Italy, sold 1.75 million vehicles worldwide in 2025. The 10,000th car sold in Poland was a BAIC 5, handed over to its new owners by BAIC Auto Mróz in Leszno. The milestone reflects the combined work of BAIC Polska, its dealers and their sales teams.

A growing dealer network needs a shared view of its operations

Autobahn became the shared working environment for the importer and its dealers, evolving as sales volumes and the number of showrooms grew. The platform brings together customer enquiries, product and pricing information, stock, offers, contracts, documents, transport arrangements, logistics and vehicle handovers. The importer gains a complete view of the network’s operations, while dealerships work with up-to-date customer and vehicle information.

“When launching a new automotive brand, a small network can manage a great deal through direct communication. When 10 dealers become 40 showrooms, everyone needs the same product, pricing, stock and customer information. The system’s job is to prevent bureaucracy and manual work from growing as quickly as the dealer network,” said Andrzej Halarewicz, Head of Sales and Business Development for Poland and Central and Eastern Europe at Autobahn.tech, who has worked closely with BAIC Polska from the beginning.

10,000 cars also mean a growing aftersales workload

Every vehicle handed over brings years of work involving warranties, spare parts and vehicle information. Autobahn and BAIC Polska have been developing warranty and spare parts management within the platform for more than a year. This remains an ongoing part of the partnership, helping the importer and its dealers maintain a shared view of the relevant information, responsibilities and progress of work after the vehicle has been handed over.

“Handing over a car is not the end of the work. Together with BAIC Polska, we have been developing warranty and spare parts processes in Autobahn for more than a year. With 10,000 cars on the road, shared vehicle information and a clear view of the status of each case become increasingly important across the network,” said Kadri Põldma, Chief Operating Officer of Autobahn Technologies.

Autobahn supports eight Asian automotive brands in Poland

BAIC is one of eight Asian automotive brands whose sales operations Autobahn supports in Poland. The platform is also used there by DFSK, SWM, Hongqi, Bestune, Forthing, Jetour and KGM. Autobahn also supports sales operations for a new Asian automotive brand in the Baltics.

Brands and markets differ, but setting up a new sales organisation involves many of the same practical tasks. Product and pricing information must be added, local roles and documents configured, websites connected to the system and customer enquiries routed into it. Dealer users need training, while stock, order, logistics and reporting processes must be put in place. Having supported the launch of several new automotive brands, Autobahn does not start each implementation from scratch. Repeatable steps can be completed quickly while the platform is adapted to local market requirements.

BAIC Polska’s 10,000-car milestone belongs to the company, its dealers and its customers. For Autobahn, the partnership demonstrates how a platform developed in Estonia and introduced when a new brand enters a market can grow with the dealer network, supporting its work from the first customer enquiry through to logistics, warranty and spare parts processes.

Founded in 2012, Autobahn.tech counts Estonian entrepreneurs Väino Kaldoja, Kristjan-Thor Vähi and Juss Lemba, German company e&Co. AG and other international investors among its shareholders.
