Autobahn.tech expands into the Czech and Slovak markets

Estonian-founded international automotive software company Autobahn.tech has further strengthened its presence in Central Europe by expanding into the Czech and Slovak markets.

According to Stig Terje Henriksen, CEO of Autobahn.tech, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are strategically important markets for the company, with significant growth potential.

“The Czech Republic and Slovakia are among Europe’s most important automotive production regions. These are developed, industrially strong automotive markets where the importance of digital sales infrastructure is growing rapidly. The Autobahn platform is built for exactly this kind of complexity: it connects manufacturers, importers, dealers and end customers in one integrated system and helps reduce manual work in increasingly detailed sales processes,” said Henriksen.

In 2025, nearly 350,000 new passenger cars were registered across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At the same time, the two countries produced more than 2.5 million vehicles, making the region one of Europe’s densest automotive production and sales environments.

Autobahn.tech’s activities in both markets are led by Ladislav Stourac, who has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Stourac has represented several international companies in the region, including JATO Dynamics, a global leader in automotive data and market intelligence.

According to Stourac, the region is attractive because of both the strength of its automotive industry and its international character. “Both countries are highly export-oriented, and the automotive sector plays a central role in their economies. Czech and Slovak companies often operate as part of a unified Czech-Slovak market and are closely connected to European automotive supply chains. In actual vehicle sales, however, businesses still need to account for two distinct markets, and importers and dealers increasingly need systems such as Autobahn.tech that can combine international reach with local market requirements,” explained Stourac.

Manufacturers operating in the region include Škoda Auto, Hyundai, Toyota, Volkswagen, Kia, Stellantis and Jaguar Land Rover.

Today, the Autobahn.tech platform is used by nearly 400 dealerships in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Finland. More than 120,000 vehicle sales transactions have been completed through the platform, with a total value exceeding EUR 2 billion. This year, Autobahn.tech also entered the Adriatic region, expanding into Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.

Founded in 2012, Autobahn.tech is backed by Estonian entrepreneurs Väino Kaldoja, Kristjan-Thor Vähi and Juss Lemba, German company e&Co. AG and other international shareholders.
